Ice in Kentucky
More Ice

Just spent the first 7 days of an extended vacation down South, left on the 22nd, driving south from Madison Wisconsin, miss the snow storm, yea right, landed in Metropolis ILL, that night only thing open was a river boat so with 10 hours of car butt, We headed over there to gamble. Next morning found out Paduca Kentucky(it's just across the Ohio River) had just got it's average snow fall plus an extra 4 inches so We left about 11a.m. made a whole 40 miles in 8 hours, I think Kentucky had all 3 of there snowplows out, found a hotel room in Grand River Kentucky,Spent the night there and got going early the next morning, stopped for breakfast at a staple of the south, WAFFLE HOUSE,where I got these pictures from(plus about 350 more along the snowy route) only to land in a 20 mile backup heading into Nashville, rest of the ride south was smooth, Finally got home today took about 550 pictures ended up with a few, what else but waterfalls and some shots for a few editions of Find It Friday, and much more of ride home, but snow calls and I must leave for My cabin on Friday morning for some fun on the snow. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year All WHK

The first picture was e-mailed to Me this morning. They ended up getting a little over 24 inches in 36 hours, oh that would have been sweet but work calls. The second shot is from last year at one of the prettier overlooks on the trails. Enjoy WHK

A soul in tension thats learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try
Can't keep My eyes from the circling skies
Tounge-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit,,,,,,, I,,,,,

About 5 weeks ago i spent 3 days in northern Wisconsin it was wet, cold and windy. Any 2 of the 3 and I'll be fine but all together it just sucks so I took all of 3 pictures all weekend, Until the ride home when I came across 6 or so adult bald eagles and about 8 to 10 baby eagles, 3 turkey Vultures and every crow for about 5 counties fighting over a dead deer. Ended up taking 130 pictures these are but a few. Enjoy WHK
